Jeff Lemire and Travel Foreman are excellent, finding a tone for the series that makes it different from Grant Morrison, but still with the same level of quality. It does a nice amount of world building, but still fundementally being about a superhero and his family.
As for the picture, It's awesome. the markings seem very vein-like, and buddy has this wonderful trance-like expression on his face.
