Altair is probably sitting in a corner somwhere on the ship, rocking back and forth mumbling something about water.
But really, their expressions are just that much epic - my brain supplies me with a 'No one hurts my novice but ME!' There.

Altair, better go and help Malik, he seems to be in big trouble!
Apparently Malik just saved his bum - Altair is currently clinging to the side of the ship saying 'not the water not the water!'
Though, I know. I've finished ACR some time ago, after getting it for Christmas. I haven't been trying to throw him off the cliff, but I think you'd get desynchronized before hitting the water.
(I sound like an evil Templar...)
