I personally like most of the modern Assassins: Desmond, Lucy, Shaun, and Rebecca (not in that order), and also Subject 16 (he's so intriguing!), but my favorite of them all is (obviously) Lucy~

Altaïr. I think he's the real spirit of Assassin's Creed. Don't really like what they have done to the series with AC2 and now AC3. It was really mysterious and interesting with the Holy Land and Crusade story but I find that they have destroyed part of the original AC feeling by making the game to what it is now. It's almost more fangirlish now
